VMware 12 image with XP Pro SP3 32bit English Part 1: VMware 12 image with XP Pro SP3 32bit English and pre-activated Diagbox 8.55 (v07.855) Multilanguage Let installation finish and exit program.Content includes: VMware 12 image with XP Pro SP3 32bit English and pre-activated Diagbox 8.55 (v07.855) Multilanguage as well as VMware 12 image with XP Pro SP3 32bit English and pre-activated PP2000 V25 and Lexia3 V48 Multilanguage. Extract the installation ISO to a folder shared with the VM (never ever use Daemon or any other idiocy, just click to mount, copy files, eject ISO).Start Lexia, wait for its first update screen, always dismiss questions about upgrading over Net.Install from Lexia45\InstLex3.exe (reader connected). If you skipped PP2000, connect the reader as described there. Activate in Settings > Activate (manual).Start PP, wait for its first update screen, always dismiss questions about upgrading over Net.Connect reader to VM guest instead of host.Connect reader, let XP install a generic driver (no Windows Update).Install from PP2000_09B\InstPC.exe (reader not connected). If you don't need support for Peugeot, you can skip this. Have no net connection in the VM (set it to host-only). It's best kept isolated from the rest of the world. Automotive systems like these are of mediocre quality, some of these application will, for instance, simply install a complete web server on your machine just to provide documentation. Unless you have a laptop dedicated to this purpose, a virtual machine is indispensable, don't even consider installing on a regularly used machine. Lexia can work on some later Windows versions as well (say W7/32), PP2000 is the weakest link. Start with XP in a virtual machine if you want all the programs to run. If you want to have all that's available, only install DiagBox. If you want both Peugeot and Citroën but only the old models, you can install both PP2000 and Lexia. If you only ever care about Citroën (and maybe XM), install Lexia. So, before you install you can decide which. Diagbox is both combined and the only one it was developed any further. Lexia is for Citroën, PP2000 is for Peugeot. Although there are many descriptions floating around on the net, not all deal with the same versions and setups, and some are really long videos, so here are the important steps as a concise reminder. Just as a quick description, and also a note to self for later use :-), these are the steps required. I needed to reinstall the Lexia/PP2000 recently on a computer.
